Deb's Spa Day, Nov. 4, 2005

There are those rare times when a girl just has to pamper herself. The glorious, decadent, wonderful concept of the spa was my gift to myself for today. I slept late, made a pot of snickerdoodle flavored coffee, did a quick email check, then did 15 minutes of aerobic exercises followed by an hour on the treadmill. Ate steel cut oats for brunch (the newest health craze in whole grain goodness) then bundled up and took a brisk walk in the beautiful snow laden white wonderland. When I got back home, I did a little work on the fabric squares for the newest addition to my kite bag and then went into spa mode. It was a good day.

Start with candles burning and soft music playing. Open a bottle of exquisite Brazillian wine and indulge.

Soak in a bath of green tea essense, exfoliate with sea salt and almond oil, and moisturize with white tea lotion.

Then do the dead sea mud treatment.

Of course the wine helps create a sense of well-being and calm.

And all is good...

until the glass is empty.

Empty?????

Empty :-(( But wait...I know where the bottle is...

And the glass is full of well-being once again. (I am smiling...I just can't move my face.)

Hope it comes off or I need to audition to replace Jim Carey in the next Mask movie.

Whew...it came off. Now to do my hair and paint my fingernails.

Hair conditioned and dried.

Lowlights were pretty ho-hum. Maybe I need to get a hair cut.

Cut it short? Better think about that option.

It was a fun "take care of Deb" day. Time to go make a kite.
